George Temel, CFP®
Founder & President
George Temel is the founder of Clarity Financial Planning and has been in the financial services industry since 1984. He started his career as a Career Agent with Mass Mutual, before starting his own firm, Temel Financial, in 1999. In 2001, wanting a focus towards our clientele and what we provide them, Clarity Financial Planning was born. George is celebrating 30+ years of assisting his clients pursue their goals.
George has obtained the FINRA Series 7, 63, & 24 registrations which are held through LPL Financial. In addition, George is a Certified Financial Planner® professional since 1998.
George believes that you are only as good as the team around you. Clarity Financial Planning has carefully crafted a team of accomplished professionals that support our clients and work intertwined towards the achievement of our client's goals.
Born in Bogota, Colombia, George's family immigrated to the United States when George was one year old. George grew up in Miami, FL and graduated with a B.A. from the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL in 1984. After college, Broward County became George's home.
George is active in both professional and local community activities. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association and a Trustee member in the Parkland Chamber of Commerce.
George is the former Chair of the South Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food, and the Founder of 101 Zinfandels Festival. George assists the Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO) Florida in planning their annual fundraiser, Kosher Food & Wine Miami.
With such close ties to the Parkland area, George was a Co-Chair of the We Are Stoneman Douglas Fundraiser hosted by Parkland Golf & Country Club from 2018-2020. George is now a Co-Chair for the Parkland Cares Golf Classic Tournament. In addition, George was a member of the Steering Committee for the Broward Education Foundation's Marjory Stoneman Douglas Victims' Fund.
George resides in Parkland, FL with Diane, two children and their dogs Dolly, Pearcy and Peanut.
