About Us

At Clarity Financial Planning, we do business differently. From your first interaction with our firm, you will realize that you have an entire team supporting you and your plan. Our client's feel confident that each member of the team knows who they are and their situation.

We understand that your finances are an important part in your life, which makes choosing the right financial team, for you, of the utmost importance. Before we make any decision to work together, you need to take the time to make sure that your principles align with what we do at Clarity. If a relationship isn't the right fit, we will tell you. You need a clear picture of what you want out of your financial team, and that's our goal. It's even in our name.

 

Starting Off

In our first meeting, we will work together to discover what is most important to you and your family and understand your current financial picture. You will leave our initial meeting with a completed Financial Road Map®, a key building block in our relationship that we will reference and update as we work together.

At the end of our meeting, if we decide that working together is a good fit, we will enter into a financial planning agreement for our team to start analyzing your situation, and devising a plan for you to pursue your goals.

 

Working Together

After gathering all of your information, we will analyze all of your current accounts, cash inflows and outflows, tax situation, and existing documents to benchmark your current financial situation. We will then project your current situation towards each of your goals through our financial planning software. At this point we will know what changes, if any, need to be made to your current financial plan. Our team will then research the current state of the market and any offerings that fit your goals.

We will have separate meetings to make sure you understand each recommendation, the due diligence behind them, and how they fit into your plan.

 

Staying Active

We take an active approach to planning, so we make sure to review with our clients often, to stay up-to-date with their goals and revise their Financial Road Map® accordingly. During review meetings, we will make recommendations and document our interactions so that you have a clear idea of how your plan is changing.

The Advisor-Client Relationship

We understand that the fee conversation is an important part of the client relationship. Unlike other firms you may encounter, we bill our clients not by account but by household. We take into consideration all of your assets to determine the fee charged on your accounts. That means if you have multiple accounts, they are all charged the same fee regardless of the size of account. This is important, as you may have different accounts for different goals. That doesn't mean you should have to pay more.
